CUPCAKES FOR COATS: FEBRUARY 2015
Come and join us for our second annual Common Project, Cupcakes for Coats!
Last year, our Common Project was Box City in which we'd attempted to raise funds for and awareness of local homelessness and international refugees. The project needed a preparation of about 5 months. With the small turn-out in participants for last year's Common Project, we decided at Interact Day 2014 to do a more doable project.
For 2014-2015, we agreed to do Cupcakes for Coats. We are to collect as much coats (as well as other winter gear such as gloves, scarves, hats, etc.) for an organization of your choosing from donors in your school, and in return they would receive a cupcake!
We will offer ideas, a timeline, and resources. We can share promotional videos, posters, and the like via our social networks and also celebrate our successes!
Here are some of the steps.
For the two month time line that follows, the months will be of January and February because of Valentines Day. This isn't mandatory and whatever months chosen that are in the 2014-2015 school year for this project is possible as well. Although we highly suggest that your Interact Club does the same!
Don't forget to take photos of this project throughout the whole process!
If you have any questions or concerns about this year's Common Project feel free to contact us here.
4. Start collecting coats on the date and place you said you would be collecting them! A favorable date would be Jan. 26-Jan.30. On your stationed collecting table(s) you should have with you: the card vouchers, something to hold the already signed cards, a box or two to put the coat donations in, and the sign up sheet with peoples name and their shifts (optional).
